Entertainment

The Rylstone-Kandos Show is a highlight on the New South Wales agricultural show calendar. Held at the picturesque Rylstone Show ground, a natural amphitheater on the banks of the Cudgegong River, the Show is an opportunity for the community to meet, enjoy and celebrate the excellent agricultural produce, talent, animal husbandry, cooking, crafts, and artistry skills that underpin the emerging & thriving Rylstone-Kandos community.

Here’s a guide on the entertainment we have lined up this year

Wood Chopping

Horizontal Bungee Challenge

This is a sport that truly epitomizes the Australian culture. Wood chopping as a sport was established in 1891. Wood chopping is a handicapped sport which means new members with no experience can become involved but if you’d rather sit back and watch someone else do the hard work, its great for spectating also!

Think you’ve got what it takes to beat the bungee?
The Bungee Run Challenge is landing at the Rylstone-Kandos Show and it’s set to be a crowd-favourite once the sun goes down. Race your opponent down the inflatable, stretch as far as you can to slap your Velcro marker on the strip… then get launched back by the bungee. With adult and kids harnesses available, it’s fast, funny and perfect for all ages — whether you’re competing or just watching the chaos unfold.

Fireworks

Live Reptile Displays

With fireworks supplied by (Inland Fireworks), the Rylstone Show fireworks display is a showstopper. Testing different pyrotechnic techniques in preparation for their Sydney New Years’ Eve fireworks, the display always far exceeds expectations.

Get up close with some of Australia’s most fascinating (and fearsome!) creatures at this year’s Rylstone Kandos Show.  The show will feature a large reptile display, showcasing an incredible range of reptiles — including turtles, lizards, pythons and crocodiles — along with a look at some of the world’s most venomous snakes as part of a professionally presented display pit.

Dog Jump

Dog Trials

The dog jumping competition at this year’s Rylstone-Kandos Show is shaping up to be quite the spectacle. With a diverse lineup of energetic and eager canines ready to showcase their agility, it’s sure to be an entertaining event for all ages.
This event showcases the remarkable skills and intelligence of working dogs as they expertly navigate a series of challenging tasks. The handlers and their canine partners must work in perfect harmony to herd livestock through various obstacles, demonstrating precision, control, and speed.
